Janet Yellen’s speech at the ECB policy panel – Live

Janet Yellen, Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve, is due to speak at the ECB’s policy panel: ‘At the heart of policy: challenges and opportunities of central bank communication’.

The Federal Reserve is expected to hike the Fed Funds for the third time this year at its meeting in December 13. According to CME Group’s FedWatch tool, the probability of such a scenario is nearly 97%, while global markets have almost fully priced in the move. The Fed is seen raising rates despite the absence of convincing upside traction in US inflation, although the solidness of the labour market remains everything but abated.
